When the storm passes, the work starts
Northwest Georgia earns its spring and summer reputation. Squall lines roll off the ridges with straight-line winds that peel shingles and snap pines, and hail cores that bruise a roof from one edge to the other. The storm itself lasts twenty minutes. What it leaves behind can eat a homeowner's whole month: a limb through the decking, water finding its way into a ceiling, a yard buried in debris, and an insurance claim waiting to be built.
Elite Catastrophe handles that aftermath for Rome and Northwest Georgia. We are a family crew that works storm damage from the first emergency call through the final cleanup, and this page covers what that includes, how we work alongside your insurance claim, and why having one crew on all of it beats coordinating three.
Storm damage roof repair and restoration
Storm damage rarely comes in one flavor, so the work comes as a package:
- Storm damage roof repair. Wind-lifted and torn shingles, hail damage, and punctures from falling limbs, repaired so the roof sheds water the way it should.
- Emergency tarping. When repairs cannot happen on the spot, a properly installed tarp protects the opening until they can. See our roof tarping service.
- Full roof replacement, when repair stops making sense. Storms sometimes finish what age started. When the roof is genuinely at the end of its life, we show you the evidence from a documented inspection, scope the roof replacement as its own decision, and leave the timing with you. Flexible financing is available on larger jobs, subject to approval.
- Tree removal off structures. Getting a pine off a roofline without making the damage worse is careful, rigged work. Our emergency tree service page covers how we do it.
- Debris cleanup. Limbs, brush, and wreckage hauled off, so your property stops looking like the storm just left.
What we do not do is overpromise. Our lane is storm damage repair and the tree work that comes with it, done well, with your home protected at every step in between.
Working with your insurance claim
Storm damage and insurance claims arrive together, and the difference between a smooth claim and a painful one is usually documentation. We photograph the damage before we touch anything, keep records as the work happens, and give you an honest written scope of what we found and what it needs. If it helps your claim, we will meet your adjuster on site and walk the damage together.
Two things we will not do. We will not inflate a scope to chase a payout, and we will not promise you what your insurer will decide. The claim is yours, the policy is yours, and the decisions stay yours. Our job is to make sure the damage is documented, the property is protected, and the repair story holds up to a hard look.
Why one crew helps
Storm damage in tree country almost never arrives alone. The same gust that drops the pine is the gust that opens the roof, which means most storm calls are really two jobs stacked on top of each other. Hire a tree crew and a separate roof crew and you inherit the coordination: two schedules, two scopes, and a gap in the middle where the tarp is nobody's job.
One call to Elite Catastrophe covers the fallen pine and the opened-up roof behind it. The crew that lifts the tree off is the same crew that tarps and repairs what it crushed, so nothing sits exposed while two companies figure out whose turn it is. Call 470-77-STORM and start with whichever problem is loudest.
